The 21st Annual Bean’s Cafe Empty Bowl Project took place on Saturday March 14th, 2015 at the downtown Anchorage Egan Center, and raised close to $100,000! This event is the largest annual fundraiser for Bean's Cafe and provides essential support to help feed the hungry in our community!
The Empty Bowl Project happens every year on the second Saturday in March, so we'll see you March 12, 2016!
This fundraiser combines the talents and generosity of local artists, and two award winning soups provided by members of the community.
The Empty Bowl Project began in 1994 with 400 bowls and has grown in attendance every year. Over 1,000 hand-crafted pottery bowls are created for this unique and special event. With a ticket you can choose a hand crafted bowl to take home, bid on exceptional clay and glass pieces at the silent auction and enjoy incredible soup and cornbread.
